It’s good karma to recognize the positive qualities in everything and everyone. So, I’m gonna start by recognizing the positive qualities in my friend, Gear.
Generous:
He gives lots of (worthless) credit to those around him; he appears to have good weed at all times and is willing to share with his Cali friends.*
Engaging:
He keeps this forum moving and he’s missed when he’s gone (“working”).
Adoring:
He appears to genuinely adore his wife (as long as she keeps the yapping to a minimum) & he’s proud and involved in his children’s education.
Rueful dreamer:
He feels sorrow and loss at having his dreams stripped away. What?! A man really can’t strap on a pair of wings and create enough perpetual motion to soar like an eagle? He rues the day that Smeets hoaxter was born, despite it being a harmless, cost-free, pretty fucking amazing troll on an international level.
Put it all together, and it spells GEAR!
*like those who maybe have a loved one who was turned down for a medicinal marijuana card? But, that has nothing to do with this tribute post, nothing at all…
I also want to recognize TCON. She is tenacious, compassionate, obnoxious (just a little), and just plain neat!
