if you host it at godaddy, they will provide the instructions on where to upload your files - by default, your domain is parked at godaddy and it's relatively trivial to go from html files to ftp to running site.
you will probably notice that godaddy is expensive, and it only because it very popular. if you want to have yer site hosted elsewhere, you need to go to the DNS control panel in your godaddy account, and then point it to the ip address of your web server (create an A record, basically - this.domain.name equals this.i.p.address).
