Back in the Day, before VCRs, if you wanted to enjoy "Dr. Who" and it wasn't on your PBS station, you went down to the local bookstore and got a Target novelization of a serial. One of the noteworthy things about many of them was the stock forward by Harlan Ellison. I may have to drag out "Revenge of the Cybermen" or "Genesis of the Daleks" and read the introduction. RIP, you difficult old turd. James Cameron is probably off to piss on your grave for you successfully suing him over "The Terminator."

Cameron literally said in an interview "I just ripped off a bunch of old Harlan Ellison stories" when asked about where he got the idea for Terminator so he really had himself to blame.
