If you're at the ATM machine and someone is trying to rob you, put your pin number in backwards and the police will be notified...this feature also works on your home alarm system, if someone follows you to your door just put your code in backwards and the alarm company will send the police!!! PUTTING YOUR CODES IN BACKWARDS IS AN SOS/DISTRESS CALL

Just checked on the validity of this - since my husband is in the security industry. You're half right.

It's not a universal code here. It has to be set up on programming.

Depends on how the code was programmed. Called a duress code. Can be your code+1, ie code is 1515, 1516 triggers duress, i usually program 0852, right up the center of the pad. OR I use 1379 (4 corners)

As for ATM machines, that was a rumor spreading around since 2006, it doesn't work.
