...have Youtube managed to kill the Greasmonkey download 'loop', because I can't seem to get it to work anymore.
 
It's been dead for a while now, yeah. Ever since they updated their software. Nature of the beast I'm afraid.

There is almnost certainly a new hack available though, probably an updated Greasemonkey script. I've not been that upto date recently but I'll have a look and PM you when I find a workaround.
