How seriously do you take this place?

I'm just curious. I hear occasional whispers of lawsuits, tattling on on-line exploits to "real life" spouses or SO's, and emotional melt-downs.

What is it about this place, or ANY on-line venture, that makes it so important?

In the interests of full disclosure, while no web-site really matters to me in the least, I do make on-line friendships that mean a lot to me. However, those relationships continue into E-mail, phone, or face to face meetings, a site or "community" other than that which I choose to build myself, and I build them outside of cyber, seem irrelevant. TK, or SC, or anyplace else is a convenient meeting place, nothing more, and meeting places can be easily moved.

So how seriously do you take TK?
