I deal with that a lot in my daily routine. I have enough chores and to do lists to fill up the space though.

Soup makes me feel poor and it makes me think of winter. Tea however is a great idea for relaxation. That or the other stuff. Dammit with this sobriety!

Every once in a while I eat pho for lunch at a place where the food is great but the customer service is less than stellar. The throw the food down and sort of scowl at you suspiciously. I have no idea what the problem is. Might just be me. There's a certain charm to the place.

Recently while at a Teriyaki place I opened up the fortune cookie only to read the fortune but did not eat the cookie. It sat on my plate until the owner came over, scowled and said, "Next time I will not give you fortune cookie if you do not eat it, that is wasteful!"

She has a certain charm to her as well. It is almost like the soup nazi place from Seinfeld. She yells your order to the back and has a very loud voice, but it always made me smile-until that fortune cookie incident.

Freaky. We call it Mamma's Teriyaki, but it is really called Manna Teriyaki or something. I don't think it comes from heaven!

When people get too crazy you have to laugh at them. Right at them to their face.

That way you feel better later when you're thinking about what happened.

My oldest son has a knack for that sort of thing. I've watched him do it several times and it was immensely satisfying. Even if only as a witness.
