I bought 7 Hotwheel cars this week

Its the perfect EBay storm. Someone is liquidating a collection of 300 individually in late summer when bidding activity is low. I picked up all at bargain prices. I got a Antifreeze Cougar, Yellow Nomad, Green AMX, Bue Camaro, Copper Mustang, Gold Charger, and an Orange Maserati. I plan to pick one more up and call my collection complete and then sell them off in two or three years.

How about some S&H Green Stamps instead? Hell, I'll even throw in a couple of old bottle tops and a dead squirrel for ya.

Do you have THIS one

Thats a nice Red Baron. No I have only been buying the original muscle cars like Camaro, Mustang, Charger, Corvette, etc. Those are the ones people pay the biggest amount for. I plan to resell them when the estate sale finds from the late 1960's start to go dry which should be in about 2-3 years. A tip on buying collectables on E-Bay is to buy in July and August because there arent a lot of people bidding and sell in the winter because there are a lot of people bidding.

Heres a few that I bought this week.

What are you paying per piece, on the average?

For the 8 I bought this week I paid $891. So about $111 each. Varies though, the Camaro cost me over $200, some of them cost me under $100. When I was watching them during the winter, the prices were about 50-75% higher.

Holy fuck, dude, I've got a case of that shit somewhere. Is that for REAL?

Yep. But its condition sensitive and the only ones that bring in money are the old muscle cars that were made in the 1960's. Some of the spoilers series are good, the VW van, and the Skyshow. Mint will bring in big money but if they are nicked up the price plummets. The cars color also makes a big difference because certian colors were not painted very often on certian cars. I've seen some go for way over $1,000.

Ya thats why I decided to buy some, keep them a few years and then sell them off when the supply on E-Bay starts to dry up. Mint or near mint is the key. There was one I really wanted to get in that auction but I didnt. It was a light blue Firebird. I bid up to $540 for it but in the last minutes 2 people tried to outbid each other and it sold for over $750. I seen only 1 other in the 2 1/2 years I have been looking at them and it sold for $900. I will only go so much for them so I can ensure myself a profit when I sell.

How much would this one be worth?

I saw some little bastard playing with this in the sandbox. I mysteriously blacked out, and when I came to again I was in some dark alley, he was lying in the sand on his back unconsious and this car somehow wound up in my pocket

I wish I still had all my G.I Joes and Transformers and such mint in package.

Who knew all of our toys would be worth so much?
