Not the parts where two character we didn't know were talking about a third character we didn't know in the roadhouse. I still don't get those.

But like when Coop was walking up the wierd staircase above the convience store that felt like me walking up the stairs in my house in the dark alone, not knowing what would be at the top (it was always the toilet) Obviously I never found a David Bowie kettle to send me back in time but I know deep down that if I ever did I 'd end up screwing things up even worse because you can't go back and that drives me mad I'm mad I want the kettle.

That's probably what they were going for.

When all is said and done is it well written? I’ve never seen it, but it sounds deliberately confusing and nonsensical and that doesn’t seem like it requires much skill or purple monkey dishwasher.

Yeah, it helps, but you can get by. Season 3 is sorta self-contained.

There's also some debate on the order of watching: if you don't want to be spoiled, then watch the first two seasons, THEN watch FWWM. If you already know who killed Laura Palmer, or if you want to be a chronological purist, then FWWM comes first, then the three seasons of TP.

I recommend Mulholland dr and *maybe* inland empire before season 3, too
