I FINALLY got a new Kitchen Stove Today

Unluckiest Charm in the Box
My old one finally died on me. After 8 faithful years of service assisting me with preparing countless meals, I finally had to let her go for a newer and more modern replacement.

This "New" stove I have is actually very used, but is in far better shape than the one its replacing. What's so unique about it, is that it has 5 (yes 5) burners instead of the standard 4. The 5th burner is placed right in the middle of the surrounding 4 and sits directly under a removable griddle.

That means I don't have to buy a seperate electric griddle after all..:smfangel:

Now I have enough stove room to make some really good omlets

So, you're saying you got yourself a new Microwave, right?

Also, you do know they make cast iron griddles that you can set on the burner. They're fairly cheap, and once you season it, it makes some of the BEST pancakes you'll ever eat.

And bacon
and eggs
and ham
and cheesesteak
and omelets
and sausage
and crepes
and onions
and mushrooms
and peppers
and anything else you want to put on a piping-hot flat iron surface.

Yes Yes! I'll second that. I have a small one and a larger one and I'm very jealous and protective of them. You can also bake, broil or braze with em'.

Shepard type pies, baked chicken etc.

Everything else on that aforementioned list I usually use a frying pan/skillet.

When my stove died I bought a microwave/convection oven combo unit, a two burner electric unit, a hot pot, and a new crockpot. I have a big electric turkey roasting pan I can bake in also. It works out because I don't cook that much for just me anymore. Mostly I put fish and veggies with a little butter in microwave bags, put them in the microwave for 5 minutes, season them to taste and eat them up. Yum. This week I'm being lazy and bought the fancy pieces of fish already seasoned and fancified that just need to be put in the microwave.

I was thinking about buying an electric griddle but I don't eat pancakes or crepes very often. Anything else I might put on a griddle I'd probably cook outdoors on the grill.

I drenched it in East-Off Oven Cleaner today before I left out for work. Once I get home, its scrub, scrub, scrub :smfundecided:
