I actually look forward to the Mrs. Brown's Boys Christmas Special each year, and I find them funny when I watch them.

I'm sorry. But I had to be able to live with myself. Thanks for listening.

I've only ever seen one episode, but it was too much for me. The jokes might be quite funny, but the setup seems so old fashioned.

That's part of the charm for me. The way they so freely break the fourth wall and leave mistakes in, and acknowledge the studio audience, reminds me of Carol Burnett and Sid Caesar and all the variety shows of the early years of TV. It's not so much a sitcom as a long-form sketch, and they don't pretend to make it more than that.

I doubt I would go seeking out every episode, but the holiday specials are enough of a good dose for me.

My mum watches it. Anytime I've seen it the whole joke seems to just be a man dressed as a woman swearing. Like "you wouldn't expect an old woman to swear!" but we know it's not an old woman anyway. Imagine if Father Jack was the main character in Father Ted. IT WOULDN'T WORK.
