I only thought I was sacrificing....

Love Child

One Love
when I opened the bag of organic meat from Trader Joes and let the juices spill into the sink, there was something satisfying about it. A blood sacrifice I thought, but then I ate the meat so I realized it wasn't really a sacrifice, but wow I sure did see the allure.

thoughts of how satisfying
opening
the bag of meat
the blood
spilling into the sink
the contrast of the red against the white
and then
washing it down the drain

Finally
my clothes are dry
maybe it is because
I sacrificed
my first
born
(not really, just some meat, probably from a farm somewhere I am sure)

Makes you wish the shower scene from Psycho was done in color.

(Don't bring up Gus Van Zant's remake, that was because he lost a bet)

I hated the remake. Hitchcock did those two films (the Birds being the second) in b/w for a good reason.

Tough to say which one I like more. Guy was a master either way.

Meat is not murder. Meat is meat. Murder is murder. If meat was murder, they'd share the same word. John F. Kennedy, for example, was not meated. I will not be barbecuing murders this weekend.

Only human beings can be murdered. Those who say otherwise do so because they think they are elevating the ethical value of nonhuman animals; but look at when people started doing that. And then look at the value human beings seem to place on human life since that time -- it backfired. Rather than elevating the ethical value of nonhuman animal life, they've devalued human life.

Those people should be slaughtered (according to Kosher traditions, natch) and their bodies processed into food, clothing, and household products. Which would then be forced upon their cohorts.

"Soylent Green is PEOPLE!"

vs

"Soylent Green is ECO-FREAK VEGANS!"

Doesn't it just make so much more sense the second way, really? :)
