While I don't think it was a complete sham, I do believe that we won't get an agreement about it, so yeah, it's a good idea to just repeat the election imo.
 
2 Weeks? I was just about to make a new one up. And So, Illy says something and it is so-but I say something and it is not so? Also I want to know which candidates I should leave off this time.

Or if you want to assume the role of electoral officer then do it yourself.
 
I'd say that because Illy's the outgoing mod, she wields the final say.

Have a new election. Instead of waiting two weeks, lets just do it this week. I would say now, but maybe during a holiday weekend is not such a good idea.
 
Well, I figured I'd do this by the spamstitution. That way, all the timing would be right and there'd be no confusion over who could vote and who the candidates were. I think the Spamstitution needs some revision after this recent election. It showed me what problems there were with the rules I wrote (No, pickle, not that there are too many). The wording of a few could be changed and one or two amendments can be added/removed.

I'll get the final draft working sometime in a few weeks. When I have more time to work on it. As of right now, we'll redo this election as it was supposed to be. Announced today, and the ballot thread started two weeks from now. That allows for everyone to know about the new one and the process to be restarted.

We'll still consider names added to this list as though they were under one election. The accounts that vouched for them cannot suggest other names until the completion of the current election. The names nominated for removal should stand as well. Those who have last-minute vouchers for new citizens can be added to rectify the Kitty/Dork Lord issue.

OR We can run an expedited version of it, where nominations for mod and additions to the citizens list end Tuesday. Emigration votes are on Wednesday. Thursday is spent editing the citizens list (should anyone have been added/removed). Friday we hold the election. That way there's space between everything and there would be less confusion.

No, a few things weren't done properly the first time through. Let's try to do those things in an orderly fashion this time so there is absolutely no confusion at the end.
