I just wish Firefly had done better at the box office. It was a very very good first solo-theatrical outig for Whedon, and a good Sci-Fi movie to boot.
 
It had a budget (Advertising/Production) of $40 Million. It made $38 Million Worldwide, and the DVD has been out about 2 months, and is still in the top 20 for sales at Amazon.
 
I never watched an episode of the show, but I swore by the movie, and still do. It was one of the stand-out films of last year.
 
Wow, the fact that you liked it without watching the back story makes it even better.

Dude, you could watch the series and get all the pre-story and shit.
