My God, I started reading thru some of the threads in MA. I don't understand why they even bother having the forum. Too many of the threads end up exposing inconsistency and pettiness on the part of a staff member, only to have it backed up.

The kicker was where I read that it's MORE warnable to insult UPN as a network than it is to call African-Americans "niggas". (Not exaggerating, it's all there)

Why put up the pretense that TrekBBS isn't run like a treehouse club? I used to have the energy to question things that are lousy about the moderating, but it's just so institutionalized and taken for granted now that it's pointless.

Get rid of MA and take down whatever written rules you have left, and just let members know that when they receive a warning, no reason (or at least good reason) may be given, but to just trust that they deserved it. At least it would be more honest than what's going on now.
 
What forum was this in, BTW, as I couldn't access it. Was it deleted altogether?

I just saw that Mallory was locking EVERYTHING and started a thread named "new thread for Mallory to close" posted an exclamation mark and ran, it wasn't meant to be funny or anything.

You're too nice to be a Mod there. Mostly, they just look to hire souless, picky numbnuts.

How many times will OmahaStar be warned in his time there too? He is so highly strung, it's untrue.
 
I'm not nice. I didn't take the job because I'd have gotten bored and started warning people for breaking retarded rules I dreamed up as I went along.
