If you had to get rid of a body

Let's say that someone you know slipped and fell and hit their head. You happened to be arguing with that someone loudly at the time, and brandishing a shovel, which admittedly looks bad for you. However, you are totally innocent. Still, given your past criminal record you'd rather not involve the police. So, how do you get rid of the body without leaving any traces?

I'm just curious.
 
In the woods it's easy. The moisture and predators aid the dispersal process. In the desert not so much, but there are lots of old mine shafts out there. In the city use lime and a big drum, then disperse in small amounts around the city. In the mountains, a handy gorge will do the trick...

err...

not that I've really thought about it much...


anyway, never mind the corpse, what do you do with the witness who saw the shovel? Now there's two messes to deal with.
 
bathtub and LOTS of lime

take about a week, but the lime will completely dissolve everything into a jelly of fats.

He didn't like in the woods or have a wood chipper. He lived in Milwaukee and did the disposal in the luxury of his apartment. He disolved the bodies in a barrel drum with hydrocloric acid and flushed the bodies (which turned to slush in about three days) down the toilet.

Dahmer's first kill was when he was still living with his father and stepmother. He picked up a male prostitute and strangled him. His father and stepmother were away on vacation. He went to dump the body but was pulled over for speeding. He returned home with the body and stored it in the basement. When the body started to smell he put the body in a vat of acid (could have been lyme) and melted the flesh off. His father's house was in a Milwaukee suburb and directly behind it was a wooded area. His father had a wood chipper so he put the bones in that and then scattered them by spinning around in the middle of the wooded area behind his father's house.

I'm a true crime buff, don't question me.

What did I do? All I said was it didn't work to well for him.

He got caught. Therefore it didn't work too well. :P

I'm well aware that he used a wood chipper and other means to try and dispose of his prey. You're not the only one around here who has an interest in true crime. Part of my law enforcement education was in forensic pathology.

My point was, if Dahmer had just killed the one dude he would have gotten away with it. Hambil wasn't asking how to dispose of several bodies, just one. Dahmer got cocky, bold and sloppy that's why he got caught.

;)
