Well, I got up, decided not to go swimming and went back to bed.
Then, I got up again and took my new car to the insurance adjuster to get a quote on the damage done to my new car the other day when the fine young man driving his parent's car backed out of a parking space into me as I passed behind him. The damage really isn't that bad - or at least you can't just look at the car and know it has been hit. One has to look for it. The front fender doesn't fit tightly around the right side headlight and there is a crease in the fender just under the headlight. The way he hit me it smushed up the part of the fender that wrapped around to join the right quarter panel and pushed the fender in at the bottom, which caused the crease. Even though the kid's passenger pushed the right fender piece back in, there is a small gap between the light and the fender. And, when I click the door lock, the right headlight doesn't blink like the left headlight does. Adjuster gave an estimate of just under $400. Now I have to wait for the other claims person to call me then go find someone to fix my car. They'll give me a rental car for the days my car is in the shop. I've had my new car 2 whole weeks as of today!!!
After that, kid and I went out to dinner then for a long drive. We stopped at the park for awhile so the kid could get a smoke. No one is allowed to eat or smoke in my new car.
After that, dropped her off and went grocery shopping. After I got home and put the groceries up, kid wanted to go out for a slushee. So, in the pouring rain, I took her out to Sonic for a slushee.
Just been an exciting day of stuff. Tomorrow I'm going to go to another movie. I'm in movie mood and I've got lots of movie money.
