1) As someone who grew up in Wisconsin, I developed the opinion that the coldest time of the year was the last week of January and the first week of February. So as I look at the weather right now I'm like "this is bullshit, right here."
1a) Living in Kentucky, it's cute when people get on FB and are like "It's going to get down to 22 tonight! Be sure to let your faucets drip so your pipes don't freeze!"
2) I'm in the middle of moving while renovating the place I'm moving to. So some things couldn't be moved until rooms were ready. But because I'm renting the old place, I need to be out and have it cleaned up soon. The A-Team van is not ideal for rain. Old door gaskets, etc. But I can't lose a single day. So of course the last time I was able to bring a load over it pissed down like a bastard all day. Yesterday I was ready for the next load so what did we get? Not just rain, but *freezing* rain. And my driveway is on an incline and my shed is at the bottom of another incline. And I don't have any salt and there is a lot less gravel leading down to the shed that there should be. But the weather doesn't look to be improving any time soon and there's no time to lose, so I brought a load over last night (I had it staged over the weekend and just didn't have time to bring it at the time). So yeah. Now I need to put some pants on, walk The Dog, and then get down to sweating and cursing to finish getting the laminate floor in the bedroom so I can unload The Van and bring another load over.
