On Friday, Macy's is giving away gift cards on a first come, first serve basis. Seeing as how I always get up early on Black Friday anyway, I plan on getting there around 3 am to be there for the store's 6 am opening.

I also registered with Target for a wake up call from Kermit the Frog.

The earliest time they offered was 4am. I'll be online at Macy's by then, but I just want the novelty of Kermy leaving a wake up call on my answering machine.

By gosh, I think I'm more excited about Black Friday than Thanksgiving.

Quick update:

I not only "won" $40.00 at Macy's, but I was one of the first 200 people at Sears that received a $10.00 gift card, AND I managed to obtain my annual snowglobe from J. C. Penny's.

I ran like a gazelle. :bigass:

I don't see how my interest in Howard Zinn and my affinity for finding great deals are incompatible.
