Poached eggs sitting atop rice, peas and carrots. Rice and veggies have melted butter, powdered garlic, and some Cajun seasoning. Poached eggs are lightly salted with herbs of your choosing.

Runny yokes + rice = yum. I consider today's experiment a success.
 
you should try Oyakodon

Oyakodon is Japanese chicken and egg rice bowl.
INGREDIENTS:

* 4 cup Japanese rice
* 4 medium chicken thighs or 2 large chicken breasts
* 1 onion
* 2 cups soup stock (dashi)
* 10 tbsp soy sauce
* 5 tbsp mirin
* 5 tbsp sugar
* 4 eggs

PREPARATION:
Cook Japanese rice. Cut chicken into small chunks and slice onion. Put dashi soup stock in a pan on medium heat. Add soy sauce, mirin, and sugar in the pan. Put chicken chunks in the pan and simmer on low heat for a few min. Add onion to the pan and simmer a few more mins. Wisk eggs in a bowl. Bring the soup to a boil, then pour the eggs over chicken and onion. Turn the heat down to low and put on a lid. After one min, turn off the heat. To serve, first put cooked rice in a deep bowl, then place the chicken mixture on top of the rice.
 
you had me until you got to the part about runny egg yolks..... (icky!) I like my eggs cooked so hard they bounce if they hit the floor!
