Its pretty good. Got a few surprising twists too. Although the biggest twist so far is pretty easy to discover after the first episode. Maybe it only has one twist... But its a doozy.
 
The twist that General Zod is the son of Seg-El and Jayna Zod?
The twist that Val-El is possibly still alive?
 
I already watch too many comic book tv shows and this one didn't look particularly interesting, plus reviews said it was meh.

Its ok, yeah it isn't great, but that's because what are the writers going to do? End the show with Superman being erased from existence and anger the Superman fans (like me)? There's no real consequences to character's actions because it will all end the same way with the destruction of Krypton and Kal-El being sent to Earth in a rocket.
 
I like it. My one big gripe is that it looks low budget at times. The cgi portrays a big city, but the sets and scenes just seem small, limited. It makes Kandor seem like a small town. Its boring at times too.

The story is interesting, and original. It takes the history of Superman in some cool directions. Seeing the grandparents of Superman and Supergirl who of course resemble them alot. The Zod/Jor-el brother storyline is pretty cool too. Its no better/worse than the Cw stuff. I know where they're going, but its interesting to see how they get there.

Supergirl's grandparents? Supergirl and Superman are cousins, wouldn't that mean different grandparents? They did mention Argo City where I believe Supergirl was from.
 
WTF? Superman is a Zod now? Supes cape changed to Zod symbol.

Doubt Brainiac and Seg will be trapped in the Phantom Zone for very long.
