DON'T FUCK WITH MY TITLE BITCH
I own eight different versions of Jane Eyre and that number will increase to nine as soon as I buy this one. I haven't read the book in sixteen years but I really should do that again.
How did this movie manage to be exciting? I noticed the score and the directing, so it must be those two factors that distinguished this version from the others. Can't be sure about the actors, except that the chemistry was *strong.* Writing? I honestly don't know enough about re-adapting novels to respect the work appropriately.
This was probably the youngest Mr. Rochester ever!
Jane was pretty, and the makeup was often noticeable, but I understand how moviemaking works so whatever.
In the boarding school they left out the 'evil curls' scene!
The crazy wife was actually hot in this version, which makes more sense of it than any other one I can think of right now.
What did anyone else think?
