Josie Gibson has revealed that she will be attending Big Brother auditions this weekend.

The winner of the eleventh series of the reality show tweeted that she will be filming at the London auditions, which conclude tomorrow.

Gibson said: "BIG BROTHER Auditions are at Emirates stadium Saturday, I can't wait to meet you all. I'll be filming so make sure u do your hair. X. (sic)"

Channel 5 is set to air its first series of Big Brother this summer after Channel 4 ended their contract last year, with Brian Dowling crowned champion of Ultimate Big Brother.

Executive producer Kathy Smith explained that they will be looking for more "authentic" contestants this year.

She told the Daily Express: "'For the house to work it has to have a mixture of characters.

"We are trying to make it a bit more authentic and would love to find a few more naïve characters, who are not all about fame and money. Our message this year is 'be yourself'."

Celebrity Big Brother is expected to air on Channel 5 in August, followed immediately by a full non-celebrity version in September.

Josie Gibson had previously told Digital Spy that she does not want to host Big Brother.

The final line of that article is a classic. Annoyingly, some people probably would really love her to do it, but it'll probably be Kate... um... Kate thingy from The Apprentice and Live from Studio Five/OK TV.
 
That'd be nice. He always ends up on those shitty late night quiz things, staring searchingly at you through the screen as if to ask you, yes, you, the viewer at home "why don't I just fucking do myself in?!". This'll still be shit, but it'll be step up and it was the part he was born to play, baby.
 
It does show how cheap Five are going to be, since I imagine he'll cost a lot less than even Kate Thornton or someone. But of all the ex housemates he's about the best choice. Imagine if it was Brian Bello...
 
Five have finally confirmed Brian Dowling will host the main show and Emma Willis will host a spin-off named Big Brother's Bit On The Side (which is a terrible name.)
