Ah, the token "old person from a soap" who disappears for three weeks then we go "who?" when they're evicted.

He's either literally evil or he's pretending to be literally evil for "entertainment" which, in itself, is literally evil.

I think he naively believes that his fans will understand his strategy to get evicted, and laugh it off with him and then forget all about it.

Among other things, he's forgetting that not all of the viewers are his fans,

I'm not sure he even has fans, he hasn't been in coronation street for over a decade, and all he does now is advertise double glazing.

Maybe he just sees that the world is changing and that his old racist, sexist, homophobic, groping ways are a thing of the past so he's decided to go out in a blaze of bigoted glory then kill himself on his eviction.

Good riddance really. Somehow it became less entertaining the clearer it was he wasn't just trying to wind everyone up, but actually thought this stuff was ok.

I'm still not convinced either way. He said he was doing what he thought the show expected of them.

He may secretly have all those bigoted/misogynistic feelings, but has he plainly stated he does?

Ah, the token "old person from a soap" who disappears for three weeks then we go "who?" when they're evicted.

Just a horrible person. People saying things like "IT'S DOUBLE STANDARDS FOR KICKING HIM OUT FOR LOOKING AT BUMS WHEN WOMEN LOOK AT CALUM OMG!" are totally missing the point (probably on purpose.) He set out to make people feel as uncomfortable as possible. The "negro" incident wasn't just him using an outdated term innocently, he was trying to get a rise out of Alex. He was pretty much evil. Deserved to go, wasn't missed.
