shoddy work, badly drawn. the 'A' and the 'R' look exactly the same.

the joke refers to an ancient practice of punching people when you see a VW. Does anyone still do that?

It would be nice if that little cheerleader would grow a set and post here, and we could have an honest discussion about his work, if that's what he really wants.

But, do you get it?

I so agree.

Hmm. I Agree About The "A" And The "R". I Know Lettering Is Difficult In Comics But There Is No Excuse To Not Own White-Out. This "Joke" Only Works If You Are Aware Of This Silly Child's Game. Being M.O.D.O.K. I Of Course Know Of This Practice. But Tell Me, How Well Would This "Joke" Go Over In, Say, England? The Man-Child Fails.

Good point. I bet a lot of Peruvians wouldn't get it either, so there goes that demographic.

Surprisingly, yes.
The drawing isn't bad-- it's not meant to be 'good'. Cartoon vs. realistic.
It works, and it's funny, but it's more regional humour, as modok suggests.
