WWE fired Kurt Angle today. It is known Angle and his agent met with WWE officials this afternoon. More details should be forthcoming soon.

Kurt has wrestled long enough, he's injured himself more times than I can remember.

I'm glad he's retired, this only means the WWE will have to pay up BIG BUCKS to get him to be at comeback PPVs like Hulk Hogan.

Due to personal issues, Kurt Angle has been granted an early release from his contract. WWE looks forward to establishing a new relationship with Kurt in the near future.

Amicable or not? There is a distinct lack of quality in the WWE these days, with Jericho & Benoit on 'gardening leave' and Eddie's death, not to mention the end of The Rock & Austin's careers, this will leave yet another huge hole in the roster.

However, Kurt is no doubt feeling the wear & tear, so best get out whilst still able to move. I doubt this was a firing though.

If you mean the WWE type "shooter" matches they're the shorter, more realistic ones where he doesn't take as many bumps and does a lot of mat wrestling. Real "shoot fights" are real fights like MMA and UFC and all that stuff which he's apparently going to do...he could end up embarrassing himself.
