Latest trend at Wordforge, neg rep wars

um Dogbert...neg rep wars (or rep wars) have been going on for a long long long long time...

Now...the saddest thing I see this time around is how everyone is whining to the other side about it. The threads that say "i don't care about rep" are of course rediculous - why not just say "i care about rep so much i'm starting this thread so i get sympathy and pos rep"...of course the irony is the person doing that thread getting the sympathy rep is doing the exact same thing to other people.

When I nailed baba with 84 negs in 2 days and he started 6 threads on the matter i stopped. that's the whole point is to get them to whine as if rep is important. this current trend...well i just don't know.

Well, when we took on Looney, it was a small group - though we kept in private through PM's. When I took on Flashligh or baba, it was just me. I know there have been many other group v. group fights before though.
 
It's very telling that the longest threads on the board have not been about current events, or relevant topics. The biggest threads have all been about the picking apart of a single member by the bullies of Turdforge.

It seems the only way they can relate to each other any more, is through animosity.

According to one poster named Eccentitled--er, Eccentric, who has been there since the beginning, discussing politics have become boring, so now it's better to discuss each other. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that flaming one another was the norm at the ENT forum where I posed for two years before coming to WF, but I find that crap has gotten really old.

If there's someone like Flasly who's making an ass of himself and acting like an athourity on subjects he knows shit about, that's one thing to call them out once. But when it's all a poster does and adds absolutely nothing else to the board, it just makes them look vapid and retarded and no one would take them seriously.
 
On a side note: If there's anyone who's interested I was palnning on a rep war with Eccentric, who's a little pussy shit that can't talk shit to my face. He'll be squeling within three hours, because for all his claims of not caring about anything online, he sure does value people's popularity. Especially his.

Yup, sorry dogbert, rep wars have been going on since the dawn of Wordforge. And Sokar is neg repping you because you and him have some history as enemies over there.

I hardly doubt negging Dogbert of any of his duals count as a "rep war," since everyone does it. :/ Although, the FIG dual isn't as asstarded as it used to be, so props on that.

Yes, WF is somewhat of a meta board now...discussing itself a lot (that's the most popular). It can start off as a news/politics thread but like the one referred to here that has hit 18 pages or so...it's degenerated.

Oh, and for the record. I would not be negging flashlight for his posts there. I may even be backing him on this one.

Why were you negging Flashy last year, anyway? Did it have to do with PBM?

Someone linked that PBM thread last night, and I have to admit I find it much more entertaining nearly a year later than I did the first time I read it, since I actually know what was going on.

Wordforge only discusses itself now because there is little left to discuss that hasn't already been discussed 10 million times. It happens to every board I suppose. The thing is, I visit other boards which have just added a "politics/religion" section and its like stepping back in time. The same tired old arguments with personalities resembling those we know on other boards. It gets boring pretty quick. It has probably happened here, to some degree as well. I don't really know what the solution to that is. Adding more members will help, but in the end you'll end up with the same problem.

That's true, but I thing I like about TK is that there's a separate forum to discuss the posters, so that most of it can stay outside of the debate forums. I suggested WF do the same thing, and had the usual suspects accusing me of being a TBBS mod. Because God knows the TBBS would ALWAYS ask and be so considerate before changing up the status quo.

Yes, it had to do with PBM. he got dropped about 200 into the red and then we let off.
