Life and death

Love Child

One Love
It's wierd how some people at this very moment are visiting the doctor in order to stay alive, and then others seem perfectly healthy in the physical, educational, intellectual,
thier physical body is okay, but then they just decide to quit living. They were wen ahead in the race, but had gotten off to a tough start and then were pulling ahead and then said," bamn" no more.
No fucking more.

i know. it doesn't seem fair. Nothing is fair. entropy is the law of the universe, afterall. We are ruled by decay, and demand to some sort of order. To be dying is to be thrown, headlong into entropy. That would be terrifying. But, those who are healthy and suddenly want to leave their lives, see all the entropy. They are so out of control;, that to leave their lives, is the only way they have , to take control. That is pathetic.

What gives you the right to determine the value of someone else's life for them? That's pretty fucking crass.

No one has the right to determine the value of someone else's life. However, choosing to die rather then living isn't pathetic but sad. It means you feel there is no way out but to choose to die and that powerlessness must be truly awful. To feel unempowered to want to live and be among people who care and love you means that you probably feel demeaned and undervalued. That is what is pathetic and means that you have been let down as a person.

My sister says,"send flowers"

what? You don't fucking send flowers like to a distant stranger. These are our family , they are grieving the loss of thier child. We drive our asses down there and see what we can do.
Honestly that wouldn't do anything either and he wasn't a child anymore, but a young adult.

What does Budha say about suicide?

He would tell you to not take his advice. Or at least expect you to not get all bogged down in following his example.

Then he'd release himself of his expectations for you and pretend he didn't know you..

No one puts a value on this life or that one. It's not a value call. I just think it's damn pathetic, because everything is in chaos, the suicidal one attempts to restore order by leaving life. I think that's pathetic.

You do the same shit whats her name does - You say one thing to seem reasonable then contradict yourself in the very next sentence.

Are you an insane person?

First you said -

It's not a value call.

And then right after that you said -

I just think it's damn pathetic

In other words, you said "it's not a value call", then you made a value call. You do realize "I just think it's damn pathetic" is a value call right?

The fucking kooks in this place never cease to amaze me.

^Not in this thread. She didn't make those statements in this thread.

Your premise is flawed

What is the closest person to you that has decided to leave this earth?

The word pathetic may sound harsh, but so is explaining to a daughter, a son, a niece, a nephew, a parent, anyone that thier loved one said, "see ya, without actually saying see ya"

perhaps all suicides should be public.
There should be a suicide review board.

Suicide review board? Seems sort of after-the-fact pointless.

What would it do?

San Francisco has some great public suicides off that big ugly bridge of theirs. Seems kind of sad to me...

But who the fuck am I to tell someone what to do with their life?

I'd never be so presumptuous as to insist that someone continue to live once they've decided not to.

The decision to exit the struggle is one that is made millions of times daily by every other creature on the planet. When they are finished living, they secret themselves away, they lay down, and they die. The number of fallacies in this thread: that life is easy, fair or somehow inherently deserving of value...these are human imaginary constructs.

Life is difficult, brutal and accidental. Luck and good fortune can make it less tedious; poor timing or infirmity can make it a misery. The decision to leave of one's own volition is of course a supremely selfish act; but we are all narcissists at the beginning and ending of our lives. They are the two acts which must be completed alone: birth and death.

The only thing we should say to those who lose a suicide is that we are sorry they are in pain. Comfort is a luxury only desired by the living. Our moral judgments on the dead are wasted breath. They've stopped listening.

i meant before one jumps, they should have to face a panel of people to see if thier life is really pathetic enough to end it. It was sort of a joke.
