He was either forced out for gross incomptence,

or,

he was forced out because of the rest of the staffs' gross incompetence.

I was just thinking the very same thing earlier. All the good ones are leaving. It's going to be an all new cast of Mods, Admins, and WD's pretty soon.
 
I still like Mary Rose a lot. She's been levelheaded, and hey, just calm. The moderators that aren't as involved in the board politics have been much more approachable. Notice that they haven't even spoken up during the guideline procedures, something I both respect and disagree with, but I can see why. They haven't had any part in the accusations or mudslinging.
 
Yes, I love Mary Rose too, but she doesn't speak up for herself or anyone else as far as I can tell.

She's too nice for her own good.

Which is one of the things I love about her.
 
There's simply a good handful of moderators there but they haven't stepped up to fight those that are starting to change the policy in ways that the membership clearly doesn't support. It's clearly a reason that people have been resigning.
 
I think crap was being thrown around the SL and it was sticking to the walls by the strong voices. LoP just got tired of trying to get his opinion heard with all of that stink in the room.

I can only hope that the folks in the back row, speak much LOUDER and more CLEARLY!!! Shutting down the big mouths.

Thanks for all the kind words. Guess it's about time I say something, huh. I have been following all the drama but what can I say that hasn't already been said much better than I could?

Besides, when I do speak up it's not generally well recieved. Like when I spoke out against the paranoia that had closed registrations. I wouldn't say it was hostility, exactly but I did have the feeling that my POV wasn't welcome. And what I got for my trouble was a 'suggestion' that I should quit. Not from any of the staff BTW.

It doesn't bother me that people might think I am not fit to be on staff because of what I say here but I do want to make one thing clear. I have no fears of the SL being leaked because my policy is and always has been to say nothing there that I wouldn't say out in public. I may use different wording but the sentiment is the same.:bigass:
 
I don't doubt your word Mary, but I seriously doubt some of the staff's intentions and actions.

They are not all as kind and good as you are.
 
Notice she said she had nothing to worry about if there was a SL leak....not that none of them had nothing to be concerned about.
