My friend Matt who I've known and worked with for 15 years died suddenly at the weekend, last time I spoke to him was Thursday and he seemed fine then.
All I know is they found him in the bath, I'm hoping it was natural causes.
Ugh. 37. That sucks. I try to remember the line from Death in the "Sandman" comics: "You got what everyone gets, you got a lifetime," but 37 sucks. Just about the time you start getting comfortable in your skin but you're not old enough to worry about everything.
Well I found out the cause of death was a clogged artery to his heart, it would have been instant and painless. Which is better than imagining him banging his head or drowning.
I guess he was always on borrowed time, we're just lucky it never happened while he was at work, I don't think I could have coped with seeing that.
