Louis Theroux: Savile

I read his article about on the BBC news site earlier. Sounds like something he felt he needed to do to help process his own feelings on the issue. Not something I'd watch if it was anyone else, but since it's Louis I'll give it a go.
 
I kind of wish I hadn't read the article since it was basically spoilers for everything in the show. But it was disturbing that there was so much actual footage of Savile being creepy around women.
 
I remember being in the restaurant once where Jimmy Saville used to hang out. It's in North Leeds and was an Italian place (I forget the name).

Anyway, we were there having an awful meal. They served something with real gold flakes in which was stupid as well as tasteless. It was a very showy place that was a bit tacky. How can I put this? There was a particular religion in this area of Leeds that wasn't Christian or Muslim? (Is it Buddhist headvoid? is it?)

This is by the by. A small girl was having a birthday, she must have been about 5. He came over (don't worry it's not that awful this story) and puts his arm around the mother and the little girl and starts to wish them happy birthday while he held a cigar. The girl was virtually sqealing with revulsion and the parents were just eeeeewwww, he's famous but just sort of creepy. We all sang happy birthday and thank fuck he went away. Afterwards all I thought was what a fucking creep. nothing else maybe I am as guilty as anyone but I just thought he was a needy slimeball with ego issues. I didn't think he was weird in that way.
 
They showed the restaurant on the Louis show. It was called The Flying Pizza or something. I remember one time on Russell Brand's radio show he sent someone to the restaurant to speak to Jimmy because he'd been trying to get Savile on his show for a while. They interrupted Savile's meal (he probably didn't like that!) and got him to speak to Russell on the phone live on air. Russ was of course in full "my liege, you are a great British eccentric and my ball bags agree!" mode. You probably weren't there that day though!
