I have no reason not to trust her claims. She may act a bit clueless, self righteous at times, and is a bit lame at times in her trolling attempts but she's ok for a foreigner.

Perhaps, but I would still feel more secure if she provided the number and expiration date of her new card as evidence. She could even mail it directly to me if she wished. This way we'd know for sure.
