Nope. But a little context might be useful: A "swipe" in the comic-book industry specifically means a bit of art --usually a figure or an object, maybe a panel or two, sometimes more-- that an artist has lifted, with only superficial changes, from another artist. Most sane people agree that has to be pretty obvious to be considered a swipe; practically traced-over. But the driving animus of this thread doesn't appear to be altogether sane (that, or he's one impressive troll), and hilarity ensues.
This thread from the same site is a decent primer. The site in question also runs a muckraking industry mag that decades ago accused a fairly well-known artist of swiping, and got sued for about 2 million, iirc. Following the deposition process, the artist dropped the suit after the magazine's lawyer basically proved beyond any doubt that he'd been ripping off other artists for years.
Dan Clowes, the accused swiper of this thread, is the creator/writer/artist of
Eightball, Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron, Ice Haven, David Boring, and
Ghost World, which he wrote the screenplay for, along with
Art School Confindential.
