If she still can't access the board, tell her to unplug her modem / router for about 1 minute, then plug it back in. I'm not being funny, that's what finally fixed it for me.

That is to say, doing that frightened TPTB that were preventing me from connecting. Scared 'em so bad, they relented. Is the more fun version.
