Topic: Dealing with gay spammers; some entertainment

Darth Fanwhore: We gave a spammer whom 90% of the board agreed should be banned a second chance after he begged and apologized. He was good for a few weeks...then got very mad and went nuts again.

Instead of banning, the three co-admins (including me) decided to have fun with him.

Yes the thread is gone. We don’t like to display any problems out in the open.

Essentially, we started taking away his posting privileges away one by one with every post he made until he couldn’t view any of the board while logged in. We also changed his title and avatar to Jew since he’s apparently a proud German.

He’s since been banned and all his posts deleted.

On my board I randomly screw with the Prequel fans. All of us Original Trilogy fans have a lot of fun with it.

All right since EIers refuse to think or try to figure out some of the jokes I’ll have to explain a fair bit about the idea behind Moo Cow Theater and a bit about this story.

I read a hell of a lot of different message boards. Most of them I don’t even post on, I just read them for entertainment. Moo Cow Theater takes those topics I read and parodies them, and in the case of Darth Darth Ban I’ve kept pretty close to what was actually said.

Now for some tidbits of info a lot of you likely don’t know about Star Wars boards.

Star Wars boards are generally run by angry fanboys with short fuses. They also like to fuck around with members they don’t like on their board. The throw away line when banning a member generally is “Oh that was just a troll/spammer.” When in fact previously that member was actually just like every other member on the board. These boards also tend to have very few members on them and don’t last long.

Everyone’s username begins with Darth to poke fun at the unoriginal usernames Star Wars fans tend to choose.

The title Darth Darth Ban I thought was pretty easy to pick up. Replace Ducks with Darths and pick one to ban.

Barf. Star Wars Boards make me pukey. They are angry because they still live in their parents basements, and loathe the movie "The Fourty Year-Old Virgin."
