Movies - what is worth seeing?

I'd like to go see "The Wolfman" and "Shutter Island" but neither are getting very good reviews. Anyone see it and think it worth the matinee ticket price?

Last movie I saw was the Percy and the Lightning Thief movie. It wasn't that it was a bad movie, it wasn't. It was just scripted and designed for a younger teen audience with a little suggestiveness thrown in for the moms and dads. Here's hoping the "Clash of the Titans" movie is more for an adult audience.

Beating a dead horse, I hear "Avatar" is quite good. But I haven't seen it yet.

I've seen Avatar. I liked it. Don't know that I would like it as much if I had not seen it in 3-D though.

I wonder if "Surrogates" with Bruce Willis is good.

Avatar was below average. The 3-D was the best done ever, but the technology needs a lot of work before it becomes anything more than a fad. Sure wish James Cameron had spent ten years on the script. It sends a terrible message to the handicapped.

Avatar was ridiculously horrible. Shutter Island is worth the price of admission, though certainly nothing special.

Saw Shutter Island tonight. I think, like always, it largely depends on the individual as to whether the movie was any good. I'd have liked it better if I'd paid less to see it. The twist was no twist and the story for the most part was the kind that wrenches the gut of a parent. Leonardo is still a very good actor.
