Don Herbert, who as television's "Mr. Wizard" introduced generations of young viewers to the joys of science, died Tuesday. He was 89.

Yeah, in the beginning he was sorta cool because he seemed to have all the answers. Towards the end of his carrer his impatience with the little brats was palpable. "C'mon, c'mon, c'mon Johnny, what happens when you add the bleach to the ammonia?!! Geeze Louise pay attention! Crap, did you inhale the fumes?"
