Mummers 2010

[Conchaga]

For those that aren't familiar, Philadelphia is host to the Mummers. A group of several clubs of men who like to wear sequins, colorful costumes, and Ostrich feathers. Once dressed, they march up Broad Street and play music and dance.

It's a bit of a Mardi Gras feeling. People drinking and having a great time on the streets from 9am until late into the night.

You know, I never really like Scrapple or The Mummers much. But now, living on the West Coast and far from my beloved Philly, I love 'em both! Thanks for the pics, man. Next time LG and I are visiting my folks in Philly, we need to meet up.
