Mrs. Big Dick McGee
So I went to pick my friend Cathi up for lunch this afternoon and as I drove up her street I noticed there were more cars than usual and there was a police car parked two doors down from her house. I saw a man talking on his cell phone on the street and assumed someone had had an auto accident, until I saw the crime scene tape.
I got my friend and we supposed about what had happened all through lunch but then I remembered that they don't usually tape off crime scenes unless a violent crime had occured. After lunch we drove back by the crime scene and sitting in the driveway was an occupied body bag on a gurny. Worried about my single and pregnant friend's safety I called the police, the desk officer told me that there was suspicious activity and officers were just investigating. I mentioned to the officer that I saw a body in the driveway and she then referred me to the watch commander. I left a message with the watch commander and much to my surprise he called me right back and assured me that it was not some random murderer roaming the neighborhood and my friend was safe.
Shortly after a bit of shopping I took my friend home and her neighbor, also her friend's husband and the direct neighbor to the crime scene was sitting on his porch, we decided to ask him if he had any real information. It turns out the man that died (or was murdered, we still don't know) had some serious health issues, he was the same man my friend often complained about, saying he would moan and wale so loudly she was sure he was being tortured. He had been dead for more than a week when his upstairs neighbor called the police complaining about the smell. When the police arrived they saw that someone had attempted to stuff the dead man in a mattress. That someone was a group of homeless, presumably drug addicted, young men that had been using the apartment all week WITH the dead guy inside. So no one knows if the man died because of his health issues or if these young men killed him but we do know it's all very creepy.
