Mine has hair growing out of the keyboard. I really should clean and take better care of my keyboard.

It shit the bed this morning completely. I was all psyched to get a quad core with all the trimmings til I found out that every single one of my programs will need to be repurchased to use them.

So I went to my techhie, and he took the box in this morning. Turns out that spybot (which I thought was protecting me) had done somethng to my registry file, and was in cahoots with several beacon viruses, which eventually conflicted with startup. They cleaned it and fixed it up, so I maxed it out...bought 4 gig of ram, the vid card is already maxed out for a 1.8 p4, bought a tetrabyte external 1300ms hard drive, a powered usb hub for 4 more slots, and a wifi keyboard and mouse.

Hopefully I'll have it back tomorrow. I hate this laptop, keeps cooking my weiner.

I had a similar problem when I used Spybot, I suspected but never confirmed that was the problem. The comp slowly got crankier and crankier as programs were corrupted and startup was the last to go.
