My Current Top-5 Comics that I read Monthly

Big Dick McGee

If you don't know, now ya know
1. Silver Surfer
2. Spider-Woman
3. Batman
4. Kanan, the Last Padawan
5. Paper Girls

Subject to change. I read about 70 titles a month, so if I'm recommending these, you can be sure they are pretty damned good!!

I also read a large number of comics (sometimes I pay for them!) and I can't really limit myself to just five or rank them exactly so I'll just recommend some...

Unbeatable Squirrel Girl is just so much fun. I have long been a fan of Squirrel Girl but it's great to see her as the actual lead character in a book of her own. A very amusing one. Howard The Duck is very good too and is going to crossover with USG soon.

Ms. Marvel is great. Kamala is the best new comic character in years.

Mighty Thor is also very good, unless you totally hate the idea of girl Thor (but you shouldn't, she's good.)

I like Silver Surfer too. It's a bit like Doctor Who and the art is great.

The Ultimates is probably the best Avengers book at the moment. New Avengers is fun (Squirrel Girl is in it.)

Of the Spider books I actually like Silk more than Spider-Woman, but they're both good! I can't remember if the new Miles Morales Spider-Man book has start yet but it'll probably be good.

Iron Man has been good since its relaunch.

Can't seem to think of an X-Men book to recommend at the moment...maybe Wolverine.

I know that's a lot of Marvel but I like Marvel okay. I did read Batman for a while but I lost track of it. I find it hard to keep up with DC. I liked Secret Six before the New 52 and they've finally relaunched that and it's good. I read Wonder Woman for a while but again kind of lost track.

Of the Star Wars books I like Darth Vader the best.

I'm sure no one here cares about Transformers books but me so I'll just say that More Than Meets The Eye and Transformers vs G.I. Joe are great.

Saga continues to be entertaining. I like The Wicked + The Devine.

Ringside is a new book about wrestling which I've enjoyed so far!

I like to go through my boxes and flip through all my Batman titles dating from 1974-1993, In bags and boards of course.

Wacky, I read all of the titles you mentioned, except Silk. I LOVE Jane Foster Thor, it's the best iteration of Thor since the legendary run of Walt Simonson. All-New Wolverine is great also.

I get the X-books "just because". Oh, and DOCTOR STRANGE IS AWESOME!! The art by Chris Bachalo is insane. Many good comics these days, we're lucky.

I forgot Doctor Strange! Yeah, it has some great art. And I really should have mentioned The Vision which is a surprisingly dark read.

I only really started reading monthly comics like a year ago but now I read a ton?

Like Wacky I also read and really enjoy The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl and it's easily my favourite comic I am currently reading.

Howard the Duck and Patsy Walker A.K.A. Hellcat! are also really good for similar reasons to USG.

Ms. Marvel is really good because Kamala Khan is fucking cool.

The new Captain Marvel run has just started and I'm really liking it so far because it feels like a good 90's space opera.

The Vision is like a really good, extended Twilight Zone episode.

For group titles I read All New, All Different Avengers (for Ms. Marvel mostly), New Anvengers (for Squirrel Girl) and A-Force (for everyone??). I like New Avengers the best although A-Force is pretty good. I like Singularity.

OF THE STAR WARS BOOKS I'm only reading the TPBs of the main series and Darth Vader (Vader is better) but I am reading Kanan and although I like it I'm glad it's probably going to finish soon because it could really overstay it's welcome. I'm not sure about Anakin & Obi-Wan yet.

I also have been reading the TPBs of Batgirl (of Burnside) and am enjoying them and I like the art.

OKAY???

All New, All Different Avengers is aimed a bit more at younger readers, I think. Which is fine, kids deserve Avengers too! I like Kamala, Miles and Sam as friends.

Singularity is cute and likes cuddling people.

I read Batgirl when it started and the art was good but I don't think the stories were as good or I just forgot to download it like I always end up doing with DC.

Honestly, some of the titles I read (as detailed in another thread), I should just drop, they aren't very good.

It's nice that The Vision's family got a cute robot dog! (Made from the brain patterns of a dog that died digging up the body his wife buried in the garden, but still.)

One of the few I don't buy. I had 20 comics this week, LOL. Partly because there are two "events" going on now, "Fallout" and "Spider-Women Alpha". Plus the C-3PO one-shot that explains how he got his red arm!!
