Yep. I just finished viewing The Prisoner, all 17 episodes, for the first time.
Damn, that show was good! I find myself liking the fact that not all the answers have been handed to me on a silver platter. The show is causing me to think.
Apparently Patrick McGoohan was offered the role of James Bond several times before Sean Connery. I would have loved that. Though Connery, and subsequent Bonds, are suave and all that, McGoohan would have brought a deeper layer. He would have been a contemplative, ethical Bond.
