So, while a large portion of the population is certainly head and shoulders above the junior college mongoloids, holy fuck some of these people are utterly retarded!

My first summer class is an anthropology of South Africa. At this point we've had 12 hours of lecture and a few documentary films covering Afrikaner nationalism, apartheid, and the liberation movement, mainly. So, at the end of class tonight, one girl raises her hand and asks if the Afrikaners are black. Immediately afterward, another one asks if the whites are native to South Africa. I'm left wondering how that level of ignorance is even possible, especially after sitting through hours and hours of lecture on the topic. :S:

I blame the maternal instinct that keeps parents from drowning the kids once they pass the stage of being OMGSOCUUUTEEE!! Once they're adolescent, they have the nasty habit to put up a fight, so we usually just accept our fate.

Yeah, that would make sense, if she were a barmaid or something like that. (Planting started at 8 am). I'm afraid she was just, you know, not paying attention during classes and unfortunately lacks the common sense to understand that natural landscapes and high heels just don't get along that well.
