The Boston Celtics clinched the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference in March and have homecourt advantage through the entire postseason as they look to return to the Finals for the first time since 2022 and hang an NBA championship banner for the first time since 2008.

The 2024 NBA playoffs begin this weekend with the final games of NBA play-in tournament set for Friday night. These two games will determine the opponents for the top two seeds in the East and the West. In the East, the Boston Celtics await the winner of Friday night's Miami Heat-Chicago Bulls matchup. Meanwhile in the West, the Oklahoma City Thunder will face the winner of the game between the Sacramento Kings and the New Orleans Pelicans.
