‘Big Brother Canada’ Season 4: International houseguests join the party

In a Big Brother Canada first (and a Big Brother franchise first), the house is opening its doors to international Big Brother contestants.

For the first time in Big Brother history, four international former houseguests are vying for a spot in the house, but only two will make it, and Canada holds all the cards.

Starting Tuesday, Canadians have the chance to vote for two of this season’s houseguests by choosing two of four international wildcard players. Fans can cast their vote for their favourite female and male competitors to enter the Big Brother Canada house. Voting closes Thursday, March 3 at 3 p.m. ET.

Upping the ante and raising the stakes, these international players take the competition to a whole new level as they bring their own unique Big Brother experiences to Season 4 of Big Brother Canada. Find out which wildcards make the cut as reveals roll out during the first broadcast week of Big Brother Canada, which premieres Wednesday, March 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Global.

This wildcard element brings together some of the most talked-about players of all-time to see how they fare against Canada’s new houseguests. The international wildcard choices are Jase Wirey (Big Brother U.S.), Nikki Grahame (Big Brother UK), Tim Dormer (Big Brother Australia), and Veronica Graf (Big Brother Italy).

“We’re very excited to be introducing this new aspect to Big Brother Canada which has never been done in any country before,” said Christine Shipton, SVP, Content, Shaw Media. “The addition of the international wildcards makes this season especially unique and unpredictable. Big Brother follows different house rules in each country and these worlds are about to collide!”

Following a coast-to-coast casting call, a new group of houseguests are moving into an overhauled Big Brother Canada house outfitted wall-to-wall with cameras and microphones capturing their every move. The houseguests compete for a grand prize of $100,000, a $25,000 gift card from The Brick, and an OxiClean prize pack valued at $10,000 that includes $500 of fabric care products and a $9,500 wardrobe makeover.

Big Brother Canada premieres on Global, Wednesday, March 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT and airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT (eviction episode), and Sundays at 7 p.m. ET/PT. Viewers who miss the premiere can catch up on Big Brother Canada for free following the broadcast the next day on BigBrotherCanada.ca and Global Go.

Wow they must be desperate. Only their fourth series and they have to resort to this. BB4 UK got by on Jon Tickle talking about the Star Wars EU.

Nikki explains to Joel that her contract requires she have almond milk, chocolate, and bananas. Today those things were delivered to the pantry--and she didn't even get a banana! [True, when they were discovered a large number of HG's ate them up delightedly]. Nikki said she'll have to explain to everyone about her requirements. Joel suggested maybe she can't reveal the content of her contract. Nikki replied "I don't care!"
 
Apparently she has already threatened to leave, as she always does.

Canadians don't know how to deal with it -- the feeds have been blacked out a lot lol.
 
Yeah, Canada is already annoyed with her. And to annoy Canada that fast without holding a gun or putting ketchup on your fries, you REALLY must be annoying.
