Norton can suck my ass.

Their software never really, really, runs right. Ohhh they make big promises, but no. That isn't what it takes. It takes code. The right code.

Pah.

Nothing has gotten the bamboo under my fingernails like Norton.

I've never had anything but problems with Norton. I switched to McAfee a couple of years ago, and have never looked back.

Norton's shit always slowed my computer down, and it took ages to trace every little fucking thing it was trying to do at start-up. They also continually release software with known issues that cause booting to take up to ten times as long as it should.

The last straw was Internet Security 2002, which completely blocked me from using the internet, and wouldn't let me change preferences because I didn't have administrator status within Norton. Well, there was no way to make myself an administrator, because they'd taken that function out, but forgotten to remove the requirement for changing preferences. And I couldn't remove the damned thing, because you could only uninstall if you had administrative privileges.

I finally found the instructions to remove it manually.

And that was the last time I used Norton.

Some say he does suck ass. or at least felches

Wow, I haven't seen that pic in years. Honest. Look at him, what a fucking tool.

*pushes glasses up his nose* "You really need to be watching every process on you machine with a fine-tooth microscope..." *wipes nose on sleeve*

Fuck you Norton. You fucking nerd queer ass bitch. Your software sucks. Even the shit you write for the PC sucks, and you started on that platform.

Don't get me started on his Mac shit. I've never see worse software for any system. Any system I've worked with gets its balls kicked in by Norton, so that's it. That's it, you fuckin' nerd bitch, it's over.

Norton's stuff used to be pretty good, but it definitely took a turn for the worse somewhere around 2001 or 2002 and has been sliding downhill at a pretty fast pace ever since. Too bloated, too invasive. Hell, there are a few freeware AV solutions around that work much better than NAV does these days.
