Be careful what you say in front of your new television, following reports that Samsung’s new Smart TVs are now being programmed to listen to every word you say and send it over the internet to a third party cloud service.

The news was originally reported by the The Daily Beast but soon spread far and wide, with some making comparisons to George Orwell’s novel 1984, which depicted a nightmarish world of a state listening into its citizens.

Read "third party cloud service." Big Brother isn't the government. Big Brother are the corporations wanting to know your spending habits so they can market to you more efficiently.

The thing is the government isn't interested in most of what you do unless it is something related to terrorism or some other activity that will do great harm to the country and/or harm our economy. Like so many entities these days, they scan the internet and other information sharing devices with programs using search words and key terms and code crackers. They do not care about your obsession with big busted women or women wrapping themselves in tire pieces in order to appear to be big busted. They don't care about your interest in what your sister-in-law says to your wife. They don't care what you eat, drink, watch on tv, what kind of games you play on what kind of devices unless it is to train you for subversive activities. The real threat from spying on you are the corporations who want your information so they can sell you more stuff. They just want your money and they are willing to give you something in return for it. We are a society built on commercialism.
