The press black out and raid of Liberty Square last night, are going to cause some huge waves. Kiss your job goodbye, Mr. Bloomberg. You don't have a press black out like that in America. He'll be lucky if he doesn't end up in prison.
I support the OWC movement 100%. Up to and including the point that I've refused to participate in any law enforcement activities against the movements here in Minnesota.
The guy with the camera was right in the middle of things, and getting into hassles with the cops and with disgruntled protesters (and a couple of trolls) all night.
Also, NY1 (the local 24-hr news channel on Time Warner Cable) had reporters near the scene a few hours into the eviction, and the major broadcast channels had reporters outside the barricaded areas for their early morning news shows but were only cutting to it a couple of times each half-hour.
Richard Kim of The Nation (@RichardKimNYC) was with the faction that got diverted to Foley Square, only to be ambushed by the cops there as well until some lawyers stepped in. He sent a constant stream of tweets from the front lines all night until his phone died the next morning.
