I remember being told repeatedly by libs that it was Bush's fault that a good chunk of Americans believe that Saddam Hussein had something to do with 9/11. There is not a single quote anywhere by Bush making that claim, ever. Is it possible they had some common ground in hating us? Sure.
Kefka, you just posted an article regarding the "October Surprise", which takes some really wild leaps to make one believe in the conspiracy. Yet you tell us here that only "brain-dead losers" would believe that Al-Queda and Saddam Hussein had anything in common? Let's see:
Both Al-Queda and Saddam Hussein hated the United States.
Both Al-Queda and Saddam Hussein had a grudge against the United States based on our prior military actions.
Both Al-Queda and Saddam Hussein were involved in terrorism, funding islamic terrorism exclusively.
Both Al-Queda and Saddam Hussein had reason to want to bring harm to the United States directly.
Now I've been told that there were severe differences between Al-Queda and Saddam, that Saddam was secular, so he could have NO connection at all with a religious outfit like that. Sorry, but fellow travelers could overlook their differences and concentrate on their mutual hate of the United States. It's not that far-fetched.
And certainly not as far-fetched as the deal you imagine a former California governor concocted with the Islamic theocracy running Iran. Please, Kefka, compare the two and explain how October Surprise is perfectly believable yet an alliance by the enemies of the United States is IMPOSSIBLE. You can't, can you?
