There's only one kind of stripper that will do the job ungrudgingly, that allows for a decent finish, and you wife doesn't mind you doing up against the dining room wall, and that's paint stripper. It has a far more arousing scent as well.

Having said that they can, I suppose, both be dangerous when drunk...
